Green Happiness

deep green happiness

in a leaf curl

dewdrop rainbow,

caterpillar on a stem,

picking wild mushrooms

with the long-tailed squirrels,

eating purple huckleberries

in the summer sun,

while silver salmon backs

leap along a fern-lined stream.

I could burn up all

my money,

my cell phone and computer,

a campfire blaze,

warm by the light

of a fingernail moon.
